Vaani Kapoor is known for her vibrant personality, great dancing skills, and acting chops. In a decade, she has been a part of some of the most commercially successful films in Bollywood. Some of the most popular films in her filmography are War, Befikre and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. Now, the talented actress is gearing up for her debut web series titled Mandala Murders.
The crime thriller series is produced by Yash Raj Films and helmed by Gopi Puthran. In a recent interview, Vaani talked about the series and shared her excitement. She said, “I was looking for something clutter-breaking for my foray into OTT. I’m thrilled to be working with a mind like Gopi Puthran for Mandala Murders, a gritty crime thriller series that has pushed me to work my hardest in the genre I’ve never attempted before.”
The Show Pushed Vaani To Her Limits
Vaani further claimed that the series pushed her to limits as an actor. She said she had to tap into all the learnings she has had as a performer for this series. The actress then revealed that she is “neck deep into the shooting of Mandala Murders currently and looking forward for the series to grip people’s attention.” With a combination of YRF and Vaani and an intriguing premise, this crime thriller series has generated a lot of buzz among fans who are eagerly waiting for its release.

Vaani’s Upcoming Projects
Vaani’s last release was YRF’s period drama Shamshera, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor. But the film failed to do well both critically and commercially. Apart from the Mandala Murders, she has two other interesting projects in the lineup. One of them is a social comedy film titled Sarvagunn Sampann.
She is also doing a film under Anubhav Sinha’s production venture titled Bachpan Ka Pyar. The film will mark her first collaboration with Anubhav and it will also star the talented Rajkummar Rao. Bachpan Ka Pyar will be set in Lucknow and will be helmed by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann, who previously directed the Jitendra Kumar-starrer romantic comedy Chaman Bahaar. Its filming will commence sometimes in the next month.
