“Invincible” S2 Sets Date & Unveils Special

Prime Video

After nearly two years, Amazon has finally set announced a November 3rd premiere date for the second season of its animated superhero series “Invincible” – and that’s not all.

The news was announced as a part of a panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Series creator Robert Kirkman was on hand to premiere a special nearly hour-long standalone episode of the series at the event, which followed Gillian Jacobs’ character Atom Eve.

In the wake of that screening, Prime Video has now made the special “Invincible Atom Eve” episode available on the service today. It follows how the character received her powers to manipulate objects at the molecular level and how she became a hero. A trailer for the episode is available below.

The second season of “Invincible” meanwhile sees Mark and friends trying to regain the trust of other heroes like The Immortal (Ross Marquand), who have vilified him because of his father’s Viltrumite heritage.

Returnees include Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth Rogen, and J.K. Simmons.

New names for the new run include Chloe Bennet, Tatiana Maslany, Rob Delaney, Sterling K. Brown, Daveed Diggs, Calista Flockhart, Jay Pharoah, Rhea Seehorn, Kari Wahlgren, Peter Cullen, Tim Robinson, Ella Purnell, and Ben Schwartz.

The second season of “Invincible” is being split in two, with the first half to debut on November 3rd, followed by the second half in early 2024.
