Thoughts on This Week’s In-home Releases

The home releases of Team America: World Police, World War Z, Rosemary’s Baby, Babylon 5, and Swamp Thing are the most noteworthy releases (and pre-orders) on home video and streaming services this week.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed Paint and had this to say about the film:

Brit McAdams creates a juicy leading role for Owen Wilson in the film, Paint, which works as something of a goofy character study though the movie is light on big laughs. It succeeds when it deals with the realities of securing employment as an aging artist but fails to bring much steamy romance to the table in the love story it portrays.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed Yogi Berra: It Ain’t Over and had this to say about the film:

In the end, when you get to see a documentary as well made as this one with stars like Billy Crystal and plenty of baseball legends on screen, you revel in the opportunity to watch it. It Ain’t Over is a sure-fire crowd-pleaser that will remind viewers what it’s like to cherish the love for America’s great past time and a man who made it so terrific to watch.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed The Little Mermaid and had this to say about the film:

Marshall has made one of the best live-action movies to date based on an animated film with The Little Mermaid. Halle Bailey will win you over with the heart and soul she puts into every aspect of her role. You’ll want to be “under the sea” more than once and this movie is certainly worthy of repeat viewings.
