Back in Action
Netflix has announced a November 15th release date for “Back in Action,” a Seth Gordon-directed action comedy that marks the return of Cameron Diaz to acting.

Diaz and Jamie Foxx co-star in the film as a couple who find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown years after giving up their lives as CIA spies. Kyle Chandler, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou and Glenn Close also star. [Source: Netflix]

A24 has set a May 24th digital release date for Alex Garland’s dystopian thriller “Civil War” starring Kirsten Dunst. The film follows photojournalists documenting the current state of the nation divided into different regional factions. [Source: A24]

The Robots Go Crazy
Andy Samberg is attached to star and “Ready or Not” and “Scream VI” helmers Radio Silence are attached to direct “The Robots Go Crazy” for Amazon MGM Studios.

All three will produce along with Ali Bell, Chad Villella, Jon Silk, and Samberg’s Lonely Island partners Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone. Andrew Lanham pens the script for the action comedy with story details under wraps. [Source: Deadline]

“Synchronic” duo Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan are set to re-team for the Apple TV+ heist series “12 12 12” created by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble.

The story follows a disgraced FBI agent (Mackie) and an American career criminal (Dornan) who play a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. At the center of it all is the daring, epic raid on a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich. [Source: Variety]
