Mumbai Police Arrests 5th Accused In Salman Khan Assault Case

The net has now widened with the apprehension of a fifth suspect allegedly involved in the heinous scheme.

As per India Today, the 5th accused is Identified as Deepak Gogalia, also known as Johnny Valmiki. Gogalia’s apprehension took place in Rajasthan, underscoring the far-reaching operations of the criminal syndicate.

Sources reveal chilling details of the gang’s diabolical plan, which involved ambushing Salman Khan near his farmhouse and executing the attack with AK-47 rifles.

Shockingly, investigations uncover a sinister link to international arms trafficking, with the gang allegedly reaching out to an arms dealer named Dogra in Pakistan to procure weapons for their nefarious deed.

The arrests of Gogalia and his cohorts, identified as Dhananjay Tapesingh alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Vapsi Khan alias Waseem Chikna, and Rizwan Khan, by Navi Mumbai Police highlight the collaborative effort to dismantle the criminal network.

Further revelations from police statements indicate Kashyap’s direct engagement with Dogar in Pakistan to secure AK-47 firearms for the planned assault. Following the attack, the gang purportedly planned to evade capture by dispersing and regrouping in Kanyakumari before fleeing to Sri Lanka.

20-25 People Involved In The Planning

Addressing the media, Navi Mumbai Circle DCP Vivek Pansare disclosed the extensive nature of the thwarted plot, suggesting the involvement of a sizable group of individuals. He remarked, “Some 20-25 people were involved in the planning of the foiled attempt. These four men were staying at different places in Panvel, even before the shooting in April.”

As the investigation unfolds, authorities remain vigilant, determined to uncover any potential links to previous criminal activities, including the incident in Bandra on April 14.
