The Marvels premiered in the Number One spot at the United States box office over the weekend with $47 Million. This opening box office take is a complete disappointment to Marvel and new surprise to fans and critics that have been paying unbiased attention to the decline in quality of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Five Nights at Freddy’s was Second at the United States box office over the weekend with $9 Million (a 53% drop from last weekend) for $127.2 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made $251.9 Million.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was Third at the United States box office over the weekend with $5.9 Million (a 57% drop from last weekend) for $172.5 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made $240.9 Million.

Priscilla was Fourth at the United States box office for the second week in a row with $4.7 Million (a 5% drop from last weekend) so far.

Killers of the Flower Moon was Fifth at the United States box office with $4.6 Million (a 32% drop from last weekend) so far.

These films: The Holdovers, Journey to Bethlehem (which premiered this weekend), PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, Radical, and The Exorcist: Believer rounded out the top ten respectively.

The Marvels is a 2023 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to the film Captain Marvel (2019), a continuation of the television miniseries Ms. Marvel (2022), and the 33rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Nia DaCosta, who co-wrote the screenplay with Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik.

It stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, alongside Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-joon, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Journey to Bethlehem is a 2023 American Christian musical film directed by Adam Anders, in his feature-length directorial debut. Written by Anders and Peter Barsocchini, the film stars Milo Manheim and Fiona Palomo as Joseph and Mary, with Antonio Banderas as King Herod.
