After Averting Clash With Pushpa 2, Singham Again Now To Clash With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 SuperNayr

Last Monday, on Allu Arjun‘s birthday, fans received a double treat as the teaser for Pushpa 2: The Rule was unveiled. Directed by Sukumar, the film is set to hit screens on August 15 this year, promising an action-packed experience.

However, the buzz surrounding Independence Day releases doesn’t stop there. Reports suggest that the makers of Singham Again, another highly anticipated film initially eyeing the same release window, are now considering a Diwali launch.

Despite maintaining their shooting schedule, sources reveal that director Rohit Shetty and lead actor Ajay Devgn aren’t rushing to meet the deadline. Instead, they prioritise delivering a final product that does justice to the film’s vision and its star-studded cast. An industry insider notes, “Rohit and Ajay have a 100% success rate with festival releases. Sooryavanshi (2021) too did huge box-office numbers despite the post-pandemic restrictions in cinemas.”

Singham Again Postponement Brings Relief to Exhibitors

Following the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise Part 1, Telugu cinema icon Allu Arjun has captivated the Hindi film audience as well. While the delay in the release of the next instalment in the renowned Singham series may have its reasons, it spells good news for theatre owners, as two highly anticipated films will not clash for screen time during Independence Day week. This respite comes in the wake of the recent Eid clash, which left exhibitors grappling with scheduling dilemmas and disappointing box office results.

Exhibitors faced challenges in allocating screenings between two major releases, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan. Delays in finalising showcasing plans, exacerbated by distributors’ unwavering stances, added to their woes. Consequently, both films debuted to lower-than-expected numbers, with audiences split between the two offerings, a situation not typical for Eid releases.

Will Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Postpone To Avoid Clash With Singham Again?

The potential shift in Singham Again‘s release date could impact other films vying for box-office dominance. Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, initially slated for release, may now need to reconsider its plans. While they announced their release first, it remains to be seen if they’re willing to compete head-on with Rohit Shetty’s supercop universe.

About Singham Again, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Pushpa 2

Rohit Shetty’s action-packed cop franchise Singham is set to make a return with a brand-new chapter. Titled Singham Again, this fresh instalment boasts a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, and other notable names. Additionally, rumours are swirling that Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Vicky Kaushal might also make appearances in the film.

Meanwhile, director Anees Bazmee is gearing up to continue the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa with its third iteration. Kartik Aaryan, who played a pivotal role in the sequel, which grossed over Rs 200 crore, is set to reprise his lead role. Joining him are Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimrii, who will portray crucial characters in the film.

On the other hand, Allu Arjun returns with the highly anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The first instalment of this Telugu epic emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2021, amassing an impressive Rs 370 crore. With its captivating music and an enigmatic teaser campaign, Pushpa 2: The Rule has generated significant anticipation among audiences. The film is slated to hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
